ARRIVE EARLY Plan to be at the spa 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment at your 1st visit. For many, a spa visit is the ticket for a bit of rest and spiritual renewal. Arriving earlier helps you avoid stress caused by running late and allows you to unwind and clear your mind with some herbal tea and relaxing music before beginning your treatment.
DRESS CODE While we certainly do not have a dress code for clients, we do recommend that you dress in casual, comfortable-fitting clothing. Many of our clients come directly from work and bring casual clothes to wear after treatment. You may walk in feeling stiff and stressed but you'll leave feeling refreshed and revitalized so bring something comfortable to wear post-treatment.
JEWELRY & VALUABLES Wear as little jewelry as possible. We are not able to accept responsibility for your valuables. Your purse will be with you at all times but take precautions and leave all unnecessary valuables at home. Remove earrings prior to your treatment and place them someplace safe - not on a spa counter, in a pocket, or next to you on the treatment bed.
TAX & GRATUITY Tax and gratuity is not included - NOR is it required at MEDICAL spas. At day spas, standard gratuity is 15-20% of the ORIGINAL spa treatment cost. Even though we may offer discounted treatments, your therapist is still doing the same amount of work. If you are unsure of the original price of the treatment, don't be afraid to ask. While you are not required to tip, it is common courtesy and a great way to show your therapist that they did an exceptional job.
SPEAK UP! We are well-trained and perceptive, but we are not mind-readers. Also, please remember we are professionals - your feedback guides our ability to improve the procedures we pride ourselves on performing. Let us know:
- Is the pressure being applied during massage ok?
- Is the water being used to cleanse your skin too hot or cold - or dripping into your ear?
- Are you comfortable?

If there is anything we can do to make your experience more pleasurable, don't be afraid to let us know. At future treatments, do not hesitate to request a particular therapist by name - feelings are not hurt. After all, we are here for you… so let us do our jobs.
PRIOR TO YOUR VISIT:
-
Try not to eat for at least an hour before the treatment. You’ll be more comfortable during treatment. Some procedures require pre-medications or restrictions - but not your first visit.
-
Avoid consumption of alcohol on the day of the treatment. Alcohol consumption and spa treatments are similar in one aspect: the dehydration factor. Avoid any alcoholic beverages if you are planning a trip to the spa.
-
A spa treatment often releases toxins from the body so be sure to drink plenty of water before and after your treatment to keep yourself properly hydrated. This also comes into play if you plan on using spa facilities such as a steam room, sauna or whirlpool.
-
Turn off your cell phone when you are at the spa. As a common courtesy to other guests at the spa, please do not speak on your cell phone and turn off any mobile devices during your visit. If you do need to be accessible, please set your ringer to vibrate and speak quietly.
